Bullshot and how do I make it?

I've looked for recipes for bullshot but they only seem to give it as beef consomme and vodka but I've got a feeling it's more complicated than that and may include lemon or sherry or something.

Does anyone have experience of making it? Also, presumably I don't put the vodka in until the last minute so all the alcohol doesn't evaporate?

  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 3/4 cup double-strength beef broth - 1/2 teaspoon juice of lime - ounce vodka - 1 dash Tobasco sauce (Optional)

Do you leave the vodka til last or is the alcohol meant to cook out?

Yes you put the vodka in at the end. I mean that you mix the ingredients, you don't cook them iyswim.

It can be served both ways but hot is better. You just mix it and serve it, it will not cool down in the short time it takes to mix it.
