My dd was such a good eatter/drinker then was hit with a double blow of chicken pox followed by a stomach bug last month since then her daily diet has been as follows:

4 oz milk all day
1 yogurt
a nibble of other things.

This isn't enough as she is very active and not gaining the weight she should. Has any one any ideas on how to get her eatting/drinking again.

DD stopped eating solids when she was ten months old and was pale and losing weight. She was found to have a milk protein intollerance, so maybe give your HV or GP a call to rule a food allergy out.

Thats interesting as I often think shes looking abit pale and it was suggested by consultant when in hospital (stomach bug caused her to become dehydrated) but the sister on the ward dismissed it! Will give HV a call.

Or give the Consultant a call, if you managed to catch his name. DD was hospitalised for constipation and it was after about four visits that they suggested milk protein intollerance.

Within 24 hours of cutting all dairy from her diet, DD went from having raw, bleeding, nappy rash to it having 90% gone - a totally amazing transformation. She has regained colour to her cheeks and has more energy.

I've just spoken to my homeopath and he has suggested a remedy which I'm going to give a go and also ask relevant people about milk intolarance.

Good luck. I hope you get an answer re: intollerances soon.
