My babe is now 6 1/2 mo old and I was wondering if I can start to give yogurt? if so what kind?? I have read that full fat is good??? call me silly but what does that mean??? I've been to the stores and have looked around? if anyone can offer advise as to what age is o.k.? and the type ( name) of the yogurt you can give???
greatly appreciate any advice!

Yes, yoghurt is an excellent source of protein. Avoid anything that says 'low fat'. Greek yogurt is good (high fat and good with fruit mixed in. Try and steer clear of the high sugar stuff (otherwise a sweet tooth can quickly become a problem!)

I personally like Rachel's Organic yogurts because they are quite creamy - they only come in big pots though and some of them have sugar in. We tend to get natural full fat yogurt and add fresh fruit.

a vote for Rachels here too! We also buy the lil' stoney organic yogurts for dd sometimes.

best to get baby plain yoghurt that you can get from Asda/Sainburys/ etc
