Party food for 3 year olds

DD has her birthday party on Saturday and I'm wanting to serve up quick easy, and relatively healthy party food (i.e. not full of E numbers to make them all go crazy!). Any ideas?

plain ham sandwiches
plain cheese sandwiches
cucumber and raw carrot stics
hula hoops
cocktail sausages
grapes

wait til all finished then

fairy cakes
choc crispy cakes
party rings biscuits

and, ta dah, b-day cake

pre-made squash - the only time in the year we have squash in the house, but it saves time and diluting apple jeuice into paper cups for 10 sprogs is a mugs game...

  • my absolute standard birthday tea, been doing it for years and it works every time!

Have fun! xx

btw, i know party rings are not exactly additive free although they claim similar on the packaging, but in our house it wouldn't count as a party without them

At our son's 3 year old birthday we served:

brown bread sandwiches (cheese, ham and egg).
Ikea meatballs
melon cut into "cubes"
carrot sticks
cheese cubes
grapes

once all that eaten

birthday cake was brought in, they sang and got a piece of cake home in their bag.

And yes, everything was eaten (I did not get anything, as the few things that were left was eaten by the other parents).
