solids/ dirty nappy early morning waking??

ds is 8 months and more often than not wakes with a dirty nappy. He goes to bed around 7.30 and is asleep by 8. Wakes anytime, from 5.30, 6ish onwards and usually goes back to sleep till around 6.30, 7ish. When I get him up he often has done a poo. Not sure if this is related to his evening food or not, as he is also cutting his first tooth and may be already awake, then poos, rather than the poo waking him up (if you know what I mean??!)
Have already discussed this briefly on another protein/early waking thread with chicpea, who suggests that too much fruit, esp. evening can cause a dirty nappy early in the morning. He still enjoys his baby rice after his 6.45/7pm bottle. I give him this as he will only eat a small tea at 5pm ish, of potato/veg, no more than 4 small cubes. I only put one small cube of pear in the baby rice, as he loves the taste of pear and otherwise it tastes horrible. Find that if I don't give him enough fruit in the daytime, he can go the other way and not poo all day. If he has some fruit at breakfast and after lunch this usually makes him poo late afternoon, but would one small cube of pear in the evening cause him to poo again early in the morning? Has anyone found that baby's solids and timings of meals etc caused them to wake early with adirty nappy. Could giving him too much food in the evening cause him to poo early??, regardless of the fruit?

You have my sympathy - my ds went through a middle of the night pooing phase. It was always at about 3am and really it was the last thing I wanted to be doing at that time. How long as your ds been like this?

I asked my hv and tbh they just thought it was funny, which perhaps it is when it's not hapenning to you but is not especially helpful.

I did try moving meal times but it didn't seem to work. Have you tried maybe apple instead of pear. Pear can have alarming effects on some baby's nappies.
