Was going to have it with salad, I like it cold, and was going to just break it up into the salad. DH prefers it hot though

I like it hot.

Make sure you have lots of luverly horseradish sauce with it as well!

Yummy!

Do the Nigel Slater potato and smoked mackerel recipe. Absolutely gorgeous! I use some creme fraiche as otherwise it is so rich. yum yum!

It is lush! My mum was trying to do a new recipe each week and found this. Unfortunately it is the first in the book and neither of us have bothered with anything else yet! Recommend it with a rocket salad with a fairly tart vinagrette (sp?).

Well any dark green type leaves! How can you not like rocket?! Unless you don't like salad in general I guess. Green beans would also be good.

Hot, in a tomato sauce with lovely fresh fetticine and fresh basil on the top. mm mm

i like it hot or cold, i make a hot meal with smocked mackarel and new pots, slice up new pots to one ound coin thickness put them in an oven dish, add the mackeral, fork through so it is broken up etc, then add a tub of single cream and some milk, stick it in the oven and leave for about an hour, this is yummy, serve with salad or green veg
