A nice vegetable soup recipe please

I'd love a recipe for a nice hearty veg soup. I really like the heinz one so something similar would be nice. I'd prefer a homemade one rather than the tin though. Thanks.

sweat things like leeks, onions, carrots, garlic and celery together on v. low heat with loads of butter/olive oil for ages (30 mins +) to bring out their sweetness

add pototoes if using and fry for a few mins

then perhaps
add passata or tins of toms and cook on higher heat till reduced by half

add stock if no toms or water if toms and bring to the boil.

then add green veg + herbs + and/or pasta pieces and boil until all cooked.

if not using pasta you can liquidise a proportion to get right texture

no right combination

That sounds nice thank you, think I'll try that tonight and serve with some french bread.

fry an onion, add crushed clove of garlic, 1/2 teaspoon cumin,1/2 teaspoon nutmeg, pinch each of ginger, turmeric and paprika, 1/4 teaspoon coriander.

Add about 500g carrots, tin of chopped tomatoes and about 1 lite of stock.

Sprinkle over a good handful of red lentils.

Bring to boil and let simmer until the carots are soft then whizz in blender.

Very popular round here and fulfils all the criteria!
