reheating chicken

Hi everyone,

My 12 week old DS has gone for a nap (hoorah!) and I find myself with some time on my hands for once. I thought I would totally shock DH by having his dinner ready when he comes home for once and was going to do a chicken casserole but then didn't know if I cook it now is it OK to reheat it later? And also if so, can I reheat it again? I don't want to poison us with my efforts to be a "wife"!

Thanks xx

It's fine to reheat it later, just make sure you heat it through really thoroughly, so all the meat is absolutely piping hot. Probably teaching gran to suck eggs here, but, if you're planning to eat any of it tomorrow or freeze any, then only reheat what you need tonight. I find the best way to reheat casseroles is in a pan on the hob, giving it a good stir every now and then.

Ah thank you so much! Not teaching gran to suck eggs at all... I know shockingly little about cooking
Right, into the kitchen for me!

I was a late starter, too, but now I really enjoy cooking
