I made fruit loaf without butter?? does that sound right??

Hmmm, not much of a cook here so used a recipe book, but there was no butter included. it looks ok, but just seem a bit strange to have no butter

it's just bread with fruit in it right? And bread you don't make with butter

The recipe I ahve is fruit soaked in tea, eggs and flour - so no butter may be right!

ahh thanks guys, i modified the one where you soak the sultanas in tea........didnt have any early grey .

will be done soon rising nicely

It's a traditional Welsh thing and very yummy! Good if you're on a low fat diet but high in sugar. Some people sperad butter on it once it's sliced.
