Kenwood Chef a901 ( vintage)

My latest food processor has broken and instead of buying another one I decided to get my 1970’s chef out of the attic where it has been since it was given to me 2 nd hand in the mid 90’s. Just had it sorted out at the repair shop and hopefully have saved a lot of money. Can’t believe they are nearly £400 new!
It has a k beater and a dough hook, but no manual or whisk, or any other attachments.
Is the manual useful to get? Might be able to find one on eBay.
Which attachment is for pastry, scones etc.?
Which attachment would I find useful now I don’t have a processor. Eg would a liquidiser be an asset?
Any ideas about where I can find list of attachments that will fit these old models?
Thanks in advance.

And I have the sandpaper bowl although the lid disappeared years ago. I put water in with the spuds and wrap the top with a cloth or tinfoil instead of the kid, which they no longer manufacture.

We are going to end up so fat! I’ll have to share out the resulting products between all of the the family!

The K beaters were the best of having lots of cake mix left on to lick off GrinGrin

When I was little I used to think how lucky they were that the beaters had a K to work well and that they were called kenwood too.

In hindsight I’m guessing that wasn’t serendipity but planned 🙄😂

@Tifannylamp very glad to see that you no longer need a kid on the top of your potato peeler attachment GrinGrinGrin

OK - official list of attachments from the 901 manual from 1980. ( Mine cost £55 I think, - my nanny gave us the money to buy it, but died 2 weeks before our wedding- so mine has sentimental value, which is why kept it after I bought a new one. Wish that restoration company had been about at the time)

Dough hook
Coffee grinder
Juice separator
Mincer
Sausage Filler
Slicer and shredder
The Liquidiser
The Cream maker ( I have one- to be honest it is just an emulsifier)
The can opener
The colander and seive
High Speed shredder and slicer ( Good for soup making or bulk coleslaw)
The potato peeler
Wheat mill
Bean and Peel slicer

Thanks for the list, what a lot to collect, I would need a whole cupboard devoted to attachments!

Just ordered some new rubber feet as I’ve read they compress over time and so the air doesn’t escape which can cause overheating.
Looked at a site last night that does restores and resprays! They look amazing
I sent them an email asking if they could date my machine by the serial number and apparently it is 1977/8. When I looked at the address of his workshop, to my surprise it is in my town about half a mile away from me!
