Am about to use a recipe for a basic lamb casserole which uses lamb, potatoe, swede, carrot, onion, stock. What can I use instead of the carrot as I think they may cause ds to be a bit constipated?

tomatoes? I usually just improvise with whatever we have in. Or what about sweet pots?

Celery or fennel is lovely with lamb...sweet potatoes also.

ooh flageolet beans (you can get them in the tinned section normally) are the best in a lamb casserole - they are also not too strong tasting so kids normally love them
