Hi

Just going to dinner soon. Have some lovely baby leeks. In past I have either griddled them or steamed them, but how would you do them - to make them extra yummy?

TIA

I would steam them and eat warm with a good vinaigrette. Yum.

saute gently with garlic/butter/oil

Put a good knob of butter in bottom of saucepan and cook leeks very slowly in this with lid on. That's how I cook ordinary leeks (cut those up of course, wouldn't think you need to do this with baby ones)

Mmmm, baby leeks - I'd do what Frenchgirl recommends. Bit fat old ones can be gratineed, but baby leeks with nice vinaigrette are as good as asparagus in my book.

Will do the vinagerette next time - nothing in tonight!

Did them in the griddle pad with olive oil, then tossed them in butter with a bit of seasoning. They were yummy

wrap them in bacon and bake with cheese on top

Make a tempura batter and deep fry them!
