Was going to make some for DS (11.9months!) as he's just stopped BF but I couldn't believe it would take so long!

Can't you just make it in a pan in half the time?

if you bake it it does take that long - only worth doing if the oven is on for something else IMO. Or have you a slow cooker?

boiled-only is quicker but you don't get the golden top bit.
