How quickly does masacarpone cheese have to be used once opened??

It doesn't say anything other than use by 17th aug and I opened it on Saturday (28th July). Usually these things say use within 2 or 5 days of opening but it doesn't say and I haven't used it before. Is it still ok????

Not sure what the definitive answer is but I would trust taste and smell on this one, if you don't mind risking tasting a bit to find it's rank!

if it doesnt have things growing on it it's probably OK...
