Vegetarian having to cook meat

I am cooking meat dishes for dh and ds and have realised that I have no idea how long they keep for. For example, I cooked liver and bacon last Tuesday which I assumed would be okay to eat on Thursday and maybe even Friday.

Any ideas how long cooked meat will keep for?

I am quite cavalier about cooked stuff and would say, like you, that Thursday should be fine and Friday probably ok so long as reheated till piping hot.

Raw meat is a different matter altogether and I am pretty strict with use-by dates.

all cooked food (meat or veg) is recommended to be eaten within 48 hours. I usually stretch to 3 days though
