Forestfly · 16/09/2004 16:26

I go for teh bash teh entire lot together approach. Caught my daughter 'making a cake' teh other day - she just mixed random amounts of egg, flour butter and sugar - we cooked them and they were great!

6oz marg
6oz sugar
2 tablespoons of syrup
8oz oats

melt all but oats in pan, take off heat and stir in oats, squash down intray and bake on 160 C/ 325 F/ GM3 for 25 mins

then pass one this way

Thanks Aunty, i tried the bunging it together. Really don't recommend it unless you have a penchant for treacled cat litter that takes you five hours to swallow and leaves you running for the tap. My baking days are over before they even began

Dh is the flapjack king in this house. He uses muscovado sugar instead of ordinary caster sugar - tastes wonderful.
