do they like Italian food?
I'm debating what to cook tonight - have a choice of chicken breasts, lamb mince or pork escalopes
dh has requested something not too spicy (overdone it lately)

might to coq au vin or chicken marengo or shepherds pie with the lamb or pork escalopes cooked with sage and marsala (nice italian recipe)

fairydust, I feel like that a lot. What I do that works is make a weekly dinner list. For inspiration, I rip recipes out of magazines and flip through them. If they work, they get pasted in my recipe book.

Please notice that I didn't say I do this all the time, but when I do, it does work and makes the whole dinner experience more fun for me.

just put cheese in then

KateandtheGirls · 15/09/2004 17:05

My two standard easy meals which we probably have once a week are:

1} Premade tortellini or ravioli and some decent jarred pasta sauce;

  1. Quesadillas. 2 flour tortillas with grated cheese inside. You can also put in strips of cooked chicken. Cook in a frying pan coated with cooking spray until the cheese melts and the tortillas get crispy on each side. Cut into wedges. My girls like dipping them in salsa.

does he do pasta?

helsi · 15/09/2004 17:35

Lasagne, spag bol, shepherds pie, chilli con carne (all these are with mince).

Chicken dishes - chicken breast wrapped in bacon, chicken fajitas that he could make himself (might eat some veg then?!), could he help you make a chicken pie?

They tend to eat things they have helped make themselves!

Hope all the posts help.
