Indian pickles to go with poppadoms?

Our local Indian restaurant makes a fantastic redcurrant type of sauce which is served with onion salad etc with poppodoms. does anyone have a recipe for this, or is it just a case of spicing up some redcurrant jelly (god help my dinner guests!)

but I always make a mango salady thing (onions, mango, tomatoes all chopped pretty small plus coriander, lime or lemon juice) oh and raita

Do they make it, or get it from a specialist supplier, do you think? pop in and ask them - they will be flattered, and probably tell you!

they won't tell - I have asked before! Thanks for the idea though, and the mango one sounds good, so will do that. Have made paneer this afternoon which has turned out really fab - so easy!
