I defrosted it yesterday (was frozen from day of purchase) and did it in the microwave.

Anyway it has ever so slightly partially cooked at the top.
I have had it in the fridge since.

Will it be ok if I properly cook it now?

Yes, as long as you cook it through thoroughly, and don't leave it too long until you do, it will be absolutely fine.
Don't worry.

FioFioJane · 17/07/2007 15:28

as you are pregnant i would say no

RubySlippers · 17/07/2007 15:28

i would use it
make sure it is piping hot and cooked through
may go a wee bit dry where it has already cooked a bit

RuthChan · 17/07/2007 15:29

Nbg · 17/07/2007 15:29

oliveoil · 17/07/2007 15:33

why did you defrost it yesterday to cook and eat it today?

in the bin with it

chicken can be dodgy imo

Nbg · 17/07/2007 15:35

I had every intention of doing a roast last night and then dh walked in from work and announced that he was taking us all out for dinner

Well its gone in

Nbg · 17/07/2007 15:42

oliveoil · 17/07/2007 15:43

hmmmm

I would throw it

becuase I would be sat there eating it imagining a 'taste' to it and wouldn't enjoy the meal anyway

dh says I am v annoying, lobbing food out if I don't like the 'look' of it

Nbg · 17/07/2007 15:52

Yep my dh would say the same if he doesnt see a chicken on the table tonight!
