Tuna steaks - what can I do with them?

  • Other than bake them for dinner tonight. I need to feed me and DS,DD and DS is allergic to eggs nuts and sesame. Any great recipe ideas anyone?

salad nicoise?-without the boiled egg
something like nice lettuce(cos maybe)
tomatoes
beans tin of mixed (drained) and cooked green beans
ermmmmmmm
spring onions/cucumber
maybe other things too ill go and see floyd on france if you think this sounds tasty

marinade them in worcester sauce and then barbecue them.

Fry them in olive oil with garlic.

Serve with a sauce made of creme fraiche and chopped watercress.

Serve with herb and lime mayonnaise.

Serve with creamy mushroom sauce.

cover in puff pastry and bake.

Beat them out into thin escalopes, dip in breadcrumbs and fry.

Marinate for a short time in olive oil, lemon or lime juice, salt, pepper and some herbs. Then I love them on the barbecue if that's an option, or you could use a ridged pan. Otherwise I guess you could grill them or sear them in a pan.

Do you like your tuna cooked all the way through? I love it just seared on the outside, still rare on the inside. Mmm...

Really nice stir fried with loads of veg, ginger and a sauce mix...
I love Tuna...

tuna a la floyd
brown by pan frying in ol oil s+p
set aside
fry 1 onion peppers(green) in pan
when soft add
4 toms peeled deseeded chopped
(1 aubergine)
garlic
small chilli
thyme
bayleaf
put tuna back in pan and simmer for 20 mins

not too hard only uses 1 pan and sounds delish

or grill with ol oil herbs lemon juice and garlic even quicker!!

MMM all sound good. Thamk you. I may work my way down the list. For tonight though I think we will try a la Floyd. I'll let you know how it tastes

I did a la floyd. Tasted really yum, I will be makeing that again, although sadly my chilli was a bit of a hot one so no good for the children - they ened up with chicken nuggats. OOPs!
