are you joking?
Get them out the pods and boil them for 2-3 mins til cooked. Eat with butter and black pepper. Yum

Hathor · 10/07/2007 19:41

Are you sure they are broad beans, not runner?

Hathor · 10/07/2007 19:42

Runners you eat the whole thing. Broads have fluffy pods inside.

suzycreamcheese · 10/07/2007 19:46

flibbertyjibbet · 10/07/2007 20:08

You pod them, then we steam them for a bit then stick in a frying pan with chopped up bacon and onions mmmmm

Hathor · 10/07/2007 20:11

if broad beans are still small with about two beans you steam them whole like runners, when they are bigger you de-pod them and steam.

rebelmum1 · 12/07/2007 10:32

have grown some this yr for the first time hence the knowledge

LilRedWG · 12/07/2007 10:33

And the water goes RED if you boil them! I thought the pan was full or cranberry juice!

suzycreamcheese · 12/07/2007 19:59
