Just a small thing. I have two frozen vegetable pies, small ones. Uncooked, and no cooking instructions. How long will they need, at what temp?

I have a fan oven if that's relevant.

Thanks.

I would start with 20 mins at Gas Mark 5 (because I do everything at GM5!) - so that would be about 180 or so?

ime everything in the world will cook at 200 degrees, sooner or later

second starting at 20 mins and keeping an eye out - actually, I'd make it 180 for a fan

If stuff's frozen, I normally put it into a cold oven, set the temp I want, then while it's heating up I figure that 'defrosts' it a bit - and then I work out what I think it will take (I reckon 30 mins for your pie at around 190 which is what I cook everything at) plus 5-10 mins for luck

Ah, you all make it sound so easy

Thank you, 20 mins-ish, and 180-ish. Understood. Good idea about the cold oven too.

Well, just cause I do it doesn't necessarily mean it's a good idea but we've never got food poisoning or anything through doing it so I'm pretty sure it's ok
