Am planning on making this tommorow or sunday, but realised I have no idea what else you have to eat with it.

we usually have it as a vegetable rather than the main focus of a meal

nutcracker · 06/07/2007 17:36

Ahh I see, ok ta, will do that then.

more cailuflower cheese....

(I like your old name...glad you've got it back)

mummydoit · 06/07/2007 17:38

We have it as a vegetable too. It goes well with gammon.

jaynehater · 06/07/2007 17:38

We have it with a sauce :

saute onion, chopped streaky bacon, add chopped tomatoes and a little tom puree, tiny)dash of sugar

Thereby removing it from the category of vegetarian meal, which chuffs DH carnivore no end.

Admittedly, we only usually have it as light supper or with a starter - it's yum, but rumblings commence roughly an hour later, so factor in some carbs!!

CantSleepWontSleep · 06/07/2007 17:38

As a child we used to have it on its own. Now we're more like NDP, in having it as a veg rather than as a meal in itself.

katelyle · 06/07/2007 17:40

We eccentrically have it with plain crisps and tomato ketchup!

I am very old, and my mother used to make delicious things called game chips. They were like crisps only nicer and hot. Ordinary crips are the nearest lazy person's alternative!

add some brocooli
sprinkle with porridge oats before grilling/baking so it goes really crunchy

Cauliflower cheese is my favourite meal - i hardly ever have it as DH doesn't eat dairy

ProfYaffle · 06/07/2007 17:43

we have it with jacket potatoes and a sneaky suspicion that dd1 won't eat it.

TheArmadillo · 06/07/2007 17:44

I love cauliflower cheese too.

Dp hates anything creamy and he detests cauliflower.

I have a mild dairy allergy.

So I never have it (and I make a great cauliflower cheese too).

janeite · 06/07/2007 17:47

We have it with jacket potatoes and sausages but the girls won't eat it. I absolutely love it though and tend to just have the cauliflower cheese and a bked potato and not bother with the sausages. In fact, we are having it tomorrow!

treacletart · 06/07/2007 17:49

crispy bacon!
