I have a great recipe for muffins off here but I want to make chocolate chip ones. Do I deduct some flour & add cocoa powder?? I've got chocolate chunks too, they won't melt will they?

Anyone??
Have told DS I will make some for him to take to school for all his class tomorrow, don't want to make it up as I go along only to end up with a disaster & have a disapointed little boy in the morning

Yes to just adjusting the ordinary recipe. The choc chips will melt but will solidify when they cool down.

can I adapt the recipe you've got

turn oven on to 180 when you start

9oz sr flour
1 tsp bicarb of soda
1/2 tsp salt
4 - 6 oz granulated sugar
3 - 5 tbsp cocoa powder
3 oz plain choc chips

in bowl and stir

9 fl oz milk
3 fl oz sunflower oil
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 egg

beat together

stir wet into dry

makes 12 large muffins, 24 fairy cake sized ones

large ones 180 for 20 mins
fairy cakes 180 for 15 mins

I yam the muffin man

Twiglett · 05/07/2007 20:36

you can put in up to 11 oz flour without it being a problem tbh

alfielooloo · 05/07/2007 20:52
