winter meals on summer days

sigh...........
i should be cooking, cold meats and salads, gazpacho,pasta with more salad et etc.
instead im making
stews,pies,casseroles and dumplings,pudding and custards for dh who says its like winter and he wants stodge.
please tell me im not the only one.
this rain cannot last for much longer surely?

We are having home made beef and mushroom pie with mash tonight - a far cry from chicken and salad that we usually have in the summer!
