Ordinary chocolate. Plain is too rich though. Mostly milk chocolate with perhaps 1/4 plain I think.

I use one bar of plain and one of milk - that way its not quite so sickly or rich. Then I eat them all and have to start over - I recommend buying an extra bar of chocolate to eat - it helps!!!!

I made them half/half milk/plain and the children complained. So I had to eat them all myself.

skirmish · 02/07/2007 11:57

thanks

next question - how far in advance can you make them?

OP posts:
calordan · 02/07/2007 11:58

we use mars bars then u dont need the syrup to make them stick together, might make some too,

calordan · 02/07/2007 11:59

a couple of days max and store in plastic lidded box

clutteredup · 02/07/2007 12:00

Not too far in advance I find they don't last more than a day in my fridge - unless you lock them up somewhere!!
