So far I have made breadcrumbs, and the crumble part of apple crumble, and short crust pastry. Surely there is more I should be using it for? Anyone got any recipes that I can try?

smoothies (1/2 pint of milk, 1/2 pint orange juice, 1 banana, and some of whatever fruits you have in your fridge/freezer (frozen fruits are great beacuse they add a chill to it) and a teaspoon of honey to sweeten it or more if you like..(fruits that I've found taste good include mangoes, paw paws...the list is endless) serve in long glasses with straws, also all soups, curry pastes.

Green tea and mango sorbet
200 ml water
2 green tea bags (or handful of loose green tea)
90g sugar (less for very sweet mangoes)
3 ripe mangoes
juice of 1 lemon

Boil water and steep tea bags for at least 5 mins (but not more than 10 mins).
Remove tea bags and boil sugar and tea in a saucepan until sugar has dissolved. Leave to cool for 30 mins or so.
Skin and chop mangoes. Whizz everything in food processor until smooth.
Freeze for 3 hours, then whizz again. Either serve straight away or freeze for up to 2 months.
Allow to soften for 10 mins before serving.

Yes, it has all sorts of blades and grater thingies. Must try the smoothies, and sure I may as well try a cake as well while I have it out.

ok, here goes for the CARROTTY THING which is a sort of savoury pudding.

300g/10oz carrots, grated
60g/2oz porridge oats
90g/3oz butter
2tbsp milk
2 eggs
120g/4oz plain flour
fresh oregano
half tsp baking powder
salt'n'pepper

Preheat oven to 180 C / 350 F / Gas 4.

Grate carrots - in a food processor. Cook with butter and oats in a pan for about 10 mins, stirring frequently. Allow to cool.

Warm milk in small pan.

Using food processor, blend eggs, flour, oregano, milk, baking powder and seasoning to smooth batter.

Add carrots and mix.

Grease a baking dish with butter and pour in mixture. Bake for about half an hour, until firm. Serve hot.

It's very good with a couple of side salads, and you should see the photo in the book if you're not convinced!

(While you're grating the carrots for this you can do a mean coleslaw at the same time).

yum, making me hungry... have fun!
