Basil ice cream - from one of the weekend papers

I'm sure there was a really easy recipe for Basil ice cream in one of the weekend papers, but unfortunately DH, in a fit of tidyness, took them all to be recycled. It would either be in Saturday's Glasgow Herald, Saturday's Guardian, Sunday Herald or the Observer. If anyone has any of these papers lying about still, and wouldn't mind having a look for me, I'd be very grateful.

I'm pretty adventerous but that doesn't sound nice

McDreamy · 26/06/2007 22:39

this any good?

moondog · 26/06/2007 22:40

Was either Observer or Sat' Telegraph because I saw it too.

MrsMuddle · 26/06/2007 22:56

Thank you McDreamy, but the one I saw was way easier than that. There were only 4 ingredients. And I think it was yoghurt rather than cream. Paulaplump, now that I'm writing this, I agree it doesn't sound too nice, but, honestly, it did look lovely. Moondog, it must be the Observer, then. It's like playing newspaper cluedo! Do you still have a copy of it?

It was the Observer - observer.guardian.co.uk/foodmonthly/story/0,,2107175,00.html.

Hope this helps!

OOOh Mrs Muddle - if you make this will you report back on what it's like?

MrsMuddle · 28/06/2007 09:12

lizzythemonkey, you are a star. Thank you. And, yes, I will report back once I've made it! (But don't hold your breath - I've got no immediate plans. Maybe later in the summer.)
