foxinsocks · 22/06/2007 14:37
Nbg · 22/06/2007 14:40

it stinks because of the marinade I presume?

iota · 22/06/2007 14:41

what marinade?

Nbg · 22/06/2007 14:45

good point

Do you mean it will stink cos of the peppers and stuff?

I will never get your typing.

CatIsSleepy · 22/06/2007 14:46

very strange mental image went through my head when i saw the title of this thread in active convos

foxinsocks · 22/06/2007 14:48

I'm sure that's what she meant.

Was just joshing cos I'm bored and in a mischievous mood and fed up of contentious threads.

It takes an hour it says anyway, so I'm sure you could probably start the whole thing off and then shove it in the oven at a slightly lower temp and turn it up for 20-30mins before you need to serve it.

CatIsSleepy · 22/06/2007 14:53

everyone seems to be in a snitty mood today FIS...
i guess imagining delia in a chicken basque is light relief in comparison!

ggglimpopo · 22/06/2007 14:58

I would make it in advance and then reheat for serving, anything with alcohol tastes better reheated. Try this one

schneebly · 22/06/2007 15:04

Mmmm that sounds bloody nice.

surely the smell of the rest of the food will drown it out.

My God I just had a nasty immage of Delia Smith with 2 chicken portions strapped to her bosoms

Whizzz · 22/06/2007 15:10

shouting "Come ON, Let's be havin' you!"

Nbg · 22/06/2007 15:10

yep

i love the smell of cooking when we go to someones elses house.

Lilymaid · 22/06/2007 15:10

When I made it once it seemed to take hours to cook the rice - my guests had lost the will to live by the time it was served.

nailpolish · 22/06/2007 15:11

i think frying it an hr before would be fine

can i come?

nailpolish · 22/06/2007 15:17

i LOVE the fact it has olives in it

yum - hot olives and chicken

iota · 22/06/2007 17:30

I think you should do your stale bread . pond-water and rancid rat speciality
