A chocolate brownie question

Simply this:

Is it possible, when you have made lovely chocolate brownies of the Suzywong variety or similar, to cut them into neat squares? Or will they always fall to pieces if you try?

Thank you.

i cannot vouch for suzywong's but i have made Nigella's brownies (from domestic goddess book) and they cut into neat squares

Kathyis6incheshigh · 16/06/2007 15:41

Maybe I should try Nigella's then. Or maybe I am doing it wrong and Suzywong will be along in a minute to tell me off.

if you need the recipe let me know

Suzy's cut beautifully and have been voted the best with my lot! Recipe is similar to Nigellas though smaller, iirc.

fruittea · 16/06/2007 15:51

Let them cool first though, otherwise they will collapse

cupcakes · 16/06/2007 15:52

suzy's always cut perfectly for me.

Kathyis6incheshigh · 16/06/2007 15:53

I do let them cool; am very self-disciplined.

Wonder what I am doing wrong then [furrowed brow].

Maybe they need another minute in the oven?

my recipe "the ultimate choc brownie" is from a good food or good housekeeping mag a few years ago and they cut up well...
