am a bit chuffed with myself so thought I'd share ... had loads of those little glass pots that those Gu and Fru desserts come in left over from, er, a dinner party - okay, after eating loads of them because I am a greedy pregnant woman with a sweet tooth .. anyway, was going to recycle them but then had the brainwave of making individual shepherd's pies in them for 10 month old dd ... there's a whole bunch of them lined up in the freezer, waiting for one of those nights where I just can't be a*sed to cook from fresh.

She had one last night and it was a rip-roaring success, so I am feeling like the perfect virtuous well-organised mum - for today, at least.

well done

Well done you! We eat an enormous number of the Gu little chocolate pots and they are indeed the most perfect size for freezing leftovers and purees (as long as Gill Rapley isn't around!) for little ones - my 10-month old has two tubs of homemade food defrosted for lunch every day and they are much easier than the ice-cube style things to use. God bless Gu!

We also have a drawer in our freezer filled with GU pots filled with mostly bolognese, and cheese sauce.

I used them at dd1's B'day party for individual jellies (with hundreds & thousands on the top). Proved v popular.
