Man, he's cute. How I would like to go out for a few drinks and a larf with him.

Anyone care to put up a fight for him?

Me! I'm not so certain about his looks but I love his programmes and farkin' adore his books. Kitchen Confidential's one of my all time faves.

I wonder if he knows that the way to a woman's heart is also food?

CuddlesomeCod · 14/06/2007 13:54

ooh no.

suzywong · 14/06/2007 13:56

Have you read any of his fiction books, cheesy?

I admire his wit and charm, and swearing and drinking and smoking - high scorers AFAIC.

suzywong I used to go out with a guy who looked just like him! By the way the potatoes here are terrible [shudder]!

Carmenere · 14/06/2007 13:57

Oh I'll fight you for this one SW[grr]

cheechymunchy · 14/06/2007 13:58

Didn't realise he'd done fiction. Hmmm, might have to borrow, not buy by the sounds of it.

Carmenere · 14/06/2007 13:58

I booked to go to his restaurant for brunch the last time I was in new york but couldn't get there due to being too hungover, I reckon he would've approved

suzywong · 14/06/2007 14:02

very nice work quokka and kudos to carm.

He has tattoos like my dh too, but is about 18 inches taller.

Discovery Channel over here are doing all his shows over the next week, two a night. Mmmmmmm.

His books are better than the tv programme but the programme is still fab. He is the only person that has really captured the essence of working in a professional kitchen for me. It really is that hot, dangerous and gross. I loved it.

moondog · 14/06/2007 22:29

I think he's a twat.Full of himself and trying so hard to be a bad boy.
Fucking grow up I say. It's cooking not bloody black belt karate.

lankyesme · 14/06/2007 23:01

I love Kitchen Confidential, however Typoid Mary is definately one to avoid. Seems much cooler in my imagination than in his tv shows (although ones i have seen are vvv old and on freeview).

suzywong · 15/06/2007 00:47

ahhhh get back on yer treadmill and turn up the volume on Genesis, moondog.

Er it is like karate Moondog. I've done both so I think that is a pretty good comparison

quokka · 15/06/2007 10:21

suzywong · 15/06/2007 14:28

harumph, ggg.
I dont' necessarily want to shag him, just go for a Big Night out and be sick in an alley and eat kebabs, you know the kind of thing.
And as for your one time flirtee, Harlan Coben, his book "Just One Look" is doing my head in, it is verging on utter tosh but I am giving it a go none the less.

quokka, the best thing to do with sweetpoatoes is cube them, roast them with seat salt and rosemary and olive oil and then put together with feta cheese and sliced red oinons and cherry tomatoes, warm to have in a salad.
