Not sure this is the correct board, but I'm hoping someone out there can offer some advice.
I'm at the end of my tether with my 17mth old at mealtimes. She insists on throwing food...and she has a bowling range the English Cricketing team would be proud of . She seems to do it all the time - whether we eat with her or not, at the start, middle and end of the meal (and keep on eating so its not that she doesn't like it or has had enough). She also does it when we are at which means we have to choose food very carefully or often, it puts us off going out altogether.
In the grand scheme of things, I know children are doing far worse things but I hate the way it gets to me and at the end of the day I find myself starting to lose it......

Any ideas?
Thanks

my ds is 18 months and does this sometimes. When he does I say "NO" in a very stren voice. If he continues I remove his food and give him something I can feed him.

Same problem here popeye - she's been doing it since 7 months (the same time at which she stopped letting me feed her, EVER, and we thus switched to blw). She has improved a lot (now 16 months), but we were starting from a horrendous base, and it is frustrating. I try not to react and give her attention, as I assume that that's what she wants. She does a great arm swoosh across the table which sends a whole load flying in one go .

Sorry no help, but wanted you to know you aren't alone.
