1yr old lost appetite after stomach bug - any ideas to tempt him back to eating?

DS had a horrible sick bug on Friday night :-( , so I kept him off his formula for 48hrs ? he then threw up the first bottle on Monday morning. So I have stopped it again until Thursday at least. But he has gone totally off his food, has lost weight and is generally very sorry for himself. He?s drinking water and a little soya milk OK and doesn?t seem dehydrated, but seems to have periodic stomach cramps which accompany really bad farts.

Does anyone have any ideas to tempt him to eat something that at the same time won?t upset his tummy further? He will eat half a porridge cake (over the course of a day) and up to a quarter of a slice of bread & Marmite, but that?s all. I?ve tried juice, flat Coke, jelly, banana, apple, and toast & honey; all to no avail. Normally he loves strong flavours, especially garlic, so I don?t know if these are all too bland for him?
TIA

I'd go for some pasta myself - probably with pesto - so it tastes of something.

Also you might want to consider something like scrambled egg on toast because it's light. Stewed apples are binding (they make the poop more solid).

Not sure what to suggest on the food front but can recommend Minadex tonic. It's a vitamin/mineral mix which helps boost their appetite.
