chicken puree ice cubes, defrosting & re-heating tips?

I have cooked and frozen some plain chicken into ice cube trays for my DS. But I'm not sure I've done the right thing. Do I let it defrost in the fridge then nuke it in the microwave to heat it? I've been a veggie for 18 years so have no idea about this stuff! My DP kindly cooked it for me. I am terrified of our DS getting ill from it!

chicken on its own will taste pretty yuck. He must be over 6 months to have meat. Why not add it to a pasta sauce

I was thinking about mixing it with something. He's nearly 7 months and eats like a horse . Might add carrot or broccoli as he loves that!

i did exactly the same thing, just added it to some veg and gravy. DS loved it! he too eats like a horse!

oh and as for defrosting, i usually get them out the ight before and put them in the fridge to defrost the following day and make sure it is piping hot.
