spaghetti courgette...where can i get one please?

my dad grows spaghetti courgette in his garden in france. i've also seen them in the supermarket over there. so has anyone had them in the UK? never seen them in any of the shops near me. am i going to have to try and grow them?

I've only heard them called spaghetti squash, not courgette. We grew some a few years ago, we just got the seeds from a garden centre but I've seen them on online seed sites and also on Ebay. Our farmers' market has sold the squash too I seem to remember.

I must admit, we wouldn't grow them again. They were great as a gimmick - the spaghetti-like strands look brilliant - but didn't taste of anything much. We still grow lots of squashes, but the ones that taste good!
