this does not suprise me when ds was in hospital one of the meals they brought was fish cake, spaggetti and smash, the fish cake was absolutely dire, he was only a year old too

dd's playschool manager is an ex nurse and goes to great lengths to tell me how all the food is homecooked and how aware of food labels she is.

this week she's had fish fingers and pasta sauce from a jar

it doesnt surprise me.

have been living on hospital food for quite a while.

its amazing what they can produce for pennies per patient.

My ds was in hospital last week (just for the day) and for lunch had fish fingers, spag hoops and hash browns. He barely eat anything and I couldn't really blame him it was awful. The other things he could have had were fish whales or chicken nuggets. We were still there at tea time and guess what he had - fish fingers, spag hoops and hash browns. The limited choice was exactly the same as lunch time. I looked at the menu for the following day just in case we had to stay in and couldn't believe the processed crap they were offering and the complete lack of veg. How on earth are the children meant to get better I am 20 wks pg and although the staff knew this i had to get through the entire day on a bag of quavers - not even offered a glass of water.
