Yes, just steam or poach it, flake it then use as tinned. I never know how much fish is going to be eaten at a fish meal so usually deliberately cook too much so there are leftovers for fishcakes.

fresh tuna is similar to chicken and has omega oils. Use it as you would do chicken. Buy it fresh from counter tho - not pre wrapped.

guy in my health food shop says flax is not the great thing

he said better eat oily fish

and given that I had turned up at his shop with money to buy flax oil and he had sent me away convinced out of making a purchase, I am inclined to believe him

Try mashing up the sardines (or mackerel; the ones in tomato sauce are best) with grated cheddar then toast under the grill. Really tasty and not so obviously fishy....
