My ds is 5 half months. Im confused about how to introduce things like olive oil, chicken, onion, sage, cheese, garlic. These are some of the individual ingredients that are in the six to nine months recipes.
Surely I need to be carefull on introducing foods still. It doesnt simplify how in the GF book.
Also my post natal friends are doing things a little diff to me.They are using jars and are giving a jar of savoury & then half of a pudding.Should I give a pudding at lunch time. What do people think about this?

It's been a while since we did weaning (my ds is 2.5 now), but IMO suggest you take chicken and cheese one at a time, assuming he's already well established on fruit and veggies... and not worry about the other ingredients too much.

As for jars - it's entirely up to you. You know his apetite best... my attitude was to ensure DS was happy eating a good variety of savoury stuff before sweet (generally home cooked, but occasionally used jars too). Natural yoghurt was a winner when I realised how heartily he wanted to eat... (altho' not lovely when he threw up - which was frequently!).
