I'm currently stuck in rehearsals all day and need some simple, tasty ideas for things I can take for meals and I was hoping that all you wonderful mummies would have some ideas - I'm getting a bit bored of an apple and some fruit and nut and need some substantial ideas which are more like meals, rather than snacks although snack ideas are wanted to!
Planning on doing an online shop in the afternoon so prompt answers would be gratefully recieved!
Many thanks,

Jules

what about those tubs with cheese/crackers etc, I bought the ploughmans lunch and it was nice (can't remember the brand name tho sorry) try cooking up some pasta night before then packing it for your lunch next day (lots of energy too)

If you want really substantial things then think about gettting a wide necked flask so you can have things like chilli ,curry ,sausage casserole, coq au vin etc.

It doesnt have to be a faff to make it , you could buy it in M&S and microwave it before you go out.

If you want cold things then how about pasta , rice or couscous salads ?

Do you like things like hard boiled eggs and porkpies?

Cous cou, roasted veggies and feta - even better with toasted pinenuts thrown in too.

If you have access to a kettle you could take little sachets of miso soup and add spring onions etc to it, even some cooked meat or tofu.
