Iced cupcakes - OK overnight without airtight container?

I'm making 48 iced cupcakes for DS's baby-naming. Will they and their icing survive overnight without an airtight container? The icing will go right to the edge so they will be kind of 'sealed'. Should I use clingfilm to cover them loosely?

they'll probably be ok if a little dry. are there two threads on this?

Yes, sorry, needed an urgent reply and wasn't sure where to post. Dry's no good! What can I do? Where can I put 48 cupcakes?!!

Do you have any old biscuit tins from Xmas or old icecream cartons? I would have thought if they were on a flat tray and the cling-flim is securely round them that they would be pretty air-tight (but then again I haven't done any baking for years..!)

They will be fine. Have done this loads of times.

sorry, meant cling film NOT needed
