I have a frost free freezer. For an example if I freeze a packet of 4 chicken breasts when I take them out of the freezer the inside of the packet is really icy, looks lots lots of snow inside. Is this normal? We have had our fridge freezer for over 12 years now. Is this a sign that we need a new one. Ice cream goes like it too.

I don't think it should be like that - sounds like it's too cold, perhaps the thermostat has gone? Mine did that when I forgot to close the door properly and I think the cooler was working overtime. I think 12 years is pretty good for a fridge.

I have a frost-free freezer but it doesn't cause 'snow' to build up, Pepsi. Sounds like your freezer needs checking out, though as long as everything is well frozen I imagine it won't do any harm.
