Chirpygirl · 17/05/2007 16:36

Why wouldn't it taste the same? It's milk.

LIZS · 17/05/2007 16:39

Probably uht.

CODalmighty · 17/05/2007 16:40

no

the fresh milk tastes the same but can be hard to find in non-touristy areas

themoon66 · 17/05/2007 19:29

It always tastes like UHT ... at least in Valencia, Barcelona, Alicante, and other large towns and small villages I've been to in Spain... including campsite shops.

you have to know what you're looking for. we found some in El corte ingles / Supercor / Hipercor (all one company, 3 different names depending on size etc..) which is fresh cow's milk and tastes absolutely fine.

where are you going?

Chirpygirl · 17/05/2007 20:07

I've just clicked, sorry, being a bit slow. If you go to a large supermarket it is more likely to be fresh cows milk, otherwise yes, it is UHT.

tracyk · 18/05/2007 07:56

Just outside Malaga - I shall stock up from the nearest large supermarket I see. Thanks girls

you'll be fine there.
there's a big El Corte ingles in marbella and hipercor/supercor supermarkets are everywhere down there.

Most of the milk is UHT cartons, but if you go to the fridges with yoghurt etc you should find some 1 litre cartons with fresh milk.
