Bread dough - how far in advance can I make it?

I need to make the dough for pizzas for tonight's tea. Can I make it now (lunchtime) and leave it uncooked until this evening (8pm ish)? TIA!

Yes. Cover it though, to prevent it drying out, with clingfilm or a damp tea towel.

If you're doing ham & mushroom, I'll be round about 6pm

Sorry, veggie in this house, so just thinly sliced red onion. And the best buffallo mozarella of course...

Dp I keep it at room temp or in the fridge?

i'd keep it in the fridge to stop it rising too much.
