Which is the restaurant you had your best meal?

chateau chevre dor in a village called EZA about 10 mins outside Monte Carlo. Took two friends for the weekend for my 40th. Outrageously expensive but the memories will last forever! Check it out chateauchevredor.com. Second is the restaurant at the chewton glen hotel (honeymoon) in the new forest. If only I could win the lottery I'd eat there every week.

I think some of my fave meals have been in France eating things as simple as a goats cheese salad with a glass of wine on a warm evening.

But aside from those it has to be:

Greens in San Francisco - top notch vegetarian food in an old converted warehouse, with fab views over the bay and golden gate bridge.

Recently - Buck's Head in Dundrum Co Down. Everyday fave is Ramore Wine Bar Portrush.

Best ever meal was a v posh place in Dubai on honeymoon.

Going on the name of Chelseamum, there are a few which always wow the critics in 'your' area - Gordon Ramsey on Royal Hospital Road, and Rousillon just off the Pimlico Road. Haven't been to either since dd, so can only go on public profile/critical opinion which are extremely favourable for both.

once upon a time when we went out for the occasional posh meal, we loved Locanda Locatelli, high quality and yet down to earth and not snooty at all. Big fan of giorgio - who also encourages children.

Definitely Gordon Ramsey on Hospital Rd,followed closely by shef's table at the Connaught with Angela Harnett.

Also had fab meal at Doyles in Sydney and great fish and chips in Darling Harbour.

My favourite one is a Thai restaurant in Herne Hill. Beautiful food with great service. Not very expensive!

Another one we really like in London is
The Ivy- never had problems booking!

Amazing service, yummy english food so stylish and also great for famous people spotting!

We saw Geri Halliwell one time and Jude Law another!

I absolutely love the Orery in Marylebone and Le Pont de la Tour in SE1.

Outstanding French food with superb service!
The second one is one of the best kept secrets in London!
