DD Loves fruit. Does she have too much?

My DD (3) loves fruit. Most days she has a banana, an apple, a box of raisins or fruit bar as snacks, and then she might have grapes or strawberries with her sandwich for tea.

She does have savoury snacks like rice cakes, bread & butter but tbh I struggle for ideas on the savoury side.

Anyway, she does eat veg, meat and carbs. Is too much fruit bad? I brush her teeth every night?

ANy alternative snack ideas welcome

I wouldn't worry about the fresh fruit, it's really good that she enjoys it. I would perhaps cut back a bit on the raisins/fruit bars as the sugar might be more concentrated in those.

Alternative snacks - nuts perhaps, I think they are OK at 3.

I would have thought that as long as she is having a balanced diet, she can eat as much fruit as she wants. '5 a day 'is the UK campaign to try and get people to eat more fruit and veg, but in other countries equivalent campaigns recommend far more fruit and veg. Surely fruit is the perfect snack?

My dd's love fruit, especially dd1 who will usually eat at least 3 apples a day.

That's what I thought but i keep seeing things about too much fruit sugars. I dont want her to have no teeth when she's older.

As long as she doesn't have diarrhea, then I don't see a problem with this
