DD is 8 months now, doesnt like puree foods anymore and Jarred oods are a no go. All she'll have is fruit and eggy bread. Finger foods and somthing that she can chew or will break apat in her mouth. I have no ideas of what to give her, I'm hoping that you mums will have some meal ideas to share with me, either BLW or whatever. Just any ideas will help me loads.
Thanks so much

DS also hates jars. Try roasted veg (cooked night before) - DS loves bits of squash or carrot. Crusty rolls were a big hit. Steamed broccoli, cut into spears. Bread and hummus. Bread and butter (did I mention he loves his bread?)

DS 6 1/2 months btw

Think at 8 months you can give just about anything if there are no allergies. No raw apple though as can choke. But if doign finger foods, she'ss drop whatever she doesn't want to eat.

he likes cheese - macaroni cheese was a hit, as was pasta and tomato sauce, pureed a bit. But if you used baby pasta you would be OK at 8 months I think.

DD is the same. She is 8 months and loves salmon steaks! I bake them in some olive oil. They are great as they come apart into thin slivers but hold together well in those slivers. DD can pick them up and they are very soft for her to chew. She loves them with pasta pesto (normal pasta not baby - she likes to pick it up herself) and broccoli.

She also likes chicken breast. Sandwiches are good as they are easy to hold. She loves avocado sandwiches (a very messy affair).

my son was a bit like this at this age - he was a big fan of anything he could pick up with his fingers - he didn't like his food pureed and preferred larger pieces he could chew on than small cut up bits. I tried to give him what we were having he enjoyed eating the same as us and still makes a fuss if we give him something different.

Pasta was a good favorite, cooked carrot sticks, cheese chunks, slices of ham rolled up. Obviously giving bigger bits of food does mean you need to be careful with choking. But we never had a problem.

ds2 is 8 months and finds fusilli pasta (twists) much easier to handle than the straighter shapes. A LOT of penne has hit the floor, having gone into his mouth and slipped straight out again!
