Have a whole fresh loaf of bread that has gone stale also have dried fruit, mixed spice and eggs, but no recipe.

Help (and you can have a slice when i have made it.)

Don't really need a recipe,

slice up the bread and put into a buttered dish. Throw in some dried fruit, mix some eggs and milk together and pour over the bread and fruit mixture.

Dash some spice onto the top, pop some sugar ontop and pop into the oven.

Cook for about 30 minutes. You normally know when its done.

Do you mean Bread and Butter pudding, thats what Poppy described. Bread pudding is completely different, stodgy and disgusting imho. Just to be a pedan

Greated orange peel is nice in there too and perhaps some vanilla for extra poshness.
