my 21 week old ds is a very poor milk drinker despite being on the 91st centile. he doesn't seem capable of having a milk feed first (he only takes 4oz)and then solids afterwards he's too full up. he has milk at 7,10.30,2.30,6 and 11pm and no more than 25oz per day. he is currently having solids at 11.30 and 4.30pm but he still can't sleep thru the night. wld love to change to solids at 6pm but how would i ensure he takes his milk and doesn't fall asleep eating the solids?
any advice welcome! he sleeps about 3 hours in teh day

Hi issywoo, you seem to be on a completely different schedule to what I was on around this time so it's difficult to suggest changes. This thread shows what I was on when ds was 5mo. Not sure if it can help.

karen99 thanks for the link. have read entire thread and can see similarities with sophable. last night i changed the schedule so i gave him a bottle at 5.45 and then solids at 6pm and he took both and was still awake which was good but he still woke at 5am. i didn't feed him (never do) but just left my hand on him until his breathing returned to a normal pace and he slept until 7am. i think he is in a habit of waking at that time and i need to find a way to get him out of it. will get the books mentioned on your thread so thanks for posting, i really appreciate it
