I have a 9" square cake tin - please can someone tell me how much mix I need?

I'm making a chocolate cake. For a usual victoria sandwich cake (so two layers) I'd use 6oz flour 3eggs etc but I've no idea how to work this out. Someone out there must know...please!

Fill your usual tins with water and then pour into the new tin. You may need double or one and half times or something

My tins have got the bottoms that come out so I don't think pouring in water will work
